What to Expect

FAQs

What is worship like?
Our worship is traditional in nature. You can expect a set order of service which includes a prelude, children’s message, scripture readings, sermon, offertory, responsive readings, congregational singing, prayer, and communion.  We sing hymns from a hymnal accompanied by the piano. Often either the handbell or vocal choir offer music for worship.

What should I wear?
There is no dress code.  Some people wear dresses or suits, others wear t-shirts and jeans, so come as you are and wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Where do I park?
You can park in the grass along the church driveway loop.

What door should I enter?
Steps lead up to the front doors of the sanctuary which faces Fire Department Rd.  If you prefer using a ramp, feel free to enter the door by the enclosed play area.  Whichever door you choose, you will be warmly greeted by a smiling person who can answer any questions you may have.

What about my kids?
We love having kids of all ages in worship.  We believe collective worship is important in their faith development, too.  There is a specific time set aside for the children to come to the front for the children’s message.  Afterwards parents can choose for their kindergartners and younger to transition to the nursery.

Can I receive communion?
All are welcome for communion.  We use bread and grape juice.  Pre-packaged options and gluten-free are available.
