Welcome! Thank you for visiting our home on the World Wide Web. It is my privilege to tell you a little more about our church. Wilson's Mills Christian Church has been a part of the Johnston County community for over 130 years. We are a church with an appreciation for our history, but we are also a church with much hope for our future. Our congregation is made up of all ages of people from many different walks of life. Visitors often comment on the warmth of the congregation and the welcoming spirit that awaits them. You may enter into worship as a stranger, but you leave as a friend.
Because of our location in the heart of the Wilson's Mills community, we are able to open our doors to the community. Those doors enable our members to see out on the world and hear the cries for help. That is why we tithe our church budget. We are a church that believes in outreach and in responding to those in need. We very much want to bring the compassion of Christ to our local community.
We are also a church that values thoughtful, reverent worship experiences. We have ministries for adults, youth, children and an ever growing baby population! We have a tradition of strong lay leadership and we value the gifts and skills of all of our members. We are not afraid to ask the difficult questions of faith and wrestle with the answers. We are a people on a journey, open to all and doing our best to walk by faith.
But, lest you believe we are all about serious experiences and long faces, let me assure you that we are a church that likes to laugh and that truly enjoys the blessing of each other's company. I invite you to join us for worship each Sunday at 11:00 AM or to join us for any of our other opportunities to serve Christ in fellowship with each other.
