In John 1:18, LOGOS is translated "Word." "In the beginning was the Word ... and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us ..." The LOGOS Program is a dynamic ministry that nurtures children and youth into personal relationships with God through Jesus Christ. The program also provides time for Christian relationships to be nurtured between each other-youth, children, and adult leaders.
The Wilson's Mills Christian Church LOGOS Program is designed for grades K-12 and meets on Thursday nights. The program consists of four equally important parts based on the activities of the early church.
BIBLE STUDY - time for relationships to be formed, refined, and renewed as we learn about the stories of God's relationship with people and their relationships with one another. What is learned in Bible Study is practiced in the other three parts.
WORSHIP SKILLS - time for relationships to be rooted and nourished in worship as we learn about worship and prepare to lead regularly in congregational worship through singing, playing handbells, writing prayers, designing bulletin covers, etc.
RECREATION PLAY - time to build relationships as we enjoy times of fun and practice treating each other as children of God.
FAMILY TIME (DINNER) - time to celebrate relationships as the family of God around the table. These "table families" care for and about each other as they share food, fun, and conversation around the table each week.
Children's Sunday School
Children's Sunday School is from 10:00 - 11:00 in the education wing. We encourage all parents to bring their children before heading over to the Adult Sunday School Class in the fellowship hall! Sunday School teachers for the children rotate each week. Sunday School lessons typically begin with a light breakfast (muffins and juice) and then the children study a Bible lesson.
