Adults

Adults

The Church offers many opportunities for fellowship, the opportunity to share worship, study of God's Word, and service to others. Here are some of our congregation's adult fellowship groups and activities.

CWF -- Christian Women's Fellowship
The Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) meets almost every other month for fellowship and church projects. Sometimes, these projects are fundraisers with the money going to support local, national and worldwide service projects that have included disaster relief, Council on Aging, Mental Health Association, Harbor House, Wilson's Mills Elementary School students, individuals needing assistance, and church & community members who have temporary financial needs. Sometimes, these projects are church projects like putting together and church cookbook, refurbishing the nursery, and representing the church at the Wilson's Mills Pumpkin Festival! We believe we are called to be Christ's hands and heart in the community.

CWF -- Christian Men's Fellowship
The Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF) meets on the third Monday of every month (except in the summertime) for dinner and church projects. Like CWF, these projects are sometimes fundraisers (like BBQ plates) with the money going to support local, national, and worldwide service projects that have included disaster relief, Camp Caroline, individuals needing assistance and minor home repair, and church & community members who have temporary financial needs. CMF also assists in care of the church building.

Adult Education

Throughout the year, we have various opportunities for adult Christian education and discipleship study. During the fall and spring, studies are offered covering a wide range of topics including basic Bible, the Disciples of Christ, Lent, Advent, and parenting. We also offer occasional retreats and workshops.
